darwin - FULL TIME, Initial 12 month contractOur Darwin based client requires a Program Support Officer, for an initial 12-month contract.
You must be willing to relocate to Darwin and remain there for the duration of the contract. No remote working options are available for this opportunity.
About the Role:
The Program Support Officer provides high-level program, project and executive support to the Digital Transformation Program, ensuring the successful delivery and continuous improvement of digital transformation and reform initiatives. The position plays a key role in monitoring governance activities and supporting the development and implementation of strategies, projects and policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide high-level administration and program management support, including organising high level meetings, preparing agendas and collating papers as required.
Coordinate and prepare high level briefs, submissions, reports and correspondence to enable the Digital Transformation Program Executives to carry out their functions effectively.
Support the development and implementation of strategic projects and initiatives arising from Cabinet, the corporate plan and project boards, including the provision of high-quality advice.
Coordinate and undertake research and policy development, contribute to policy analysis and advice, and support implementation and evaluation.
Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to junior staff and actively participate as a member of the team, contributing innovative ideas and solutions to all aspects of the division.
Perform other project and program activities assigned by the Digital Transformation Program Executives to support the successful implementation of programs and projects.
Provide impartial advice in a clear, concise and articulate manner focussing on key points and information.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures, including maintaining accurate records of executive advice, including key discussions, decisions and notes.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven high-level organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure, exercise initiative, complete tasks in a timely manner, and work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Proven attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks, while consistently identifying and addressing potential issues.
Demonstrated high-level interpersonal oral and written communication skills, including the ability to coordinate and prepare high level correspondence and with ability to interact effectively with people of various levels and from diverse cultures.
Well-developed strategic, conceptual and analytical ability, including experience in the analysis of policy proposals, initiatives and performance reports.
Demonstrated flexibility with day-to-day work changes, practice changes, shifting priorities and periods of uncertainty.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualifications.
Familiarity with public sector digital governance frameworks
