SENIOR TEST ANALYST

dARWIN - FULL TIME

Our Darwin based client requires a Senior Test Analyst, for an initial 12-month contract.

You must be willing to relocate to Darwin and remain there for the duration of the contract. No remote working options are available for this opportunity.

 

Scope of works:

The successful candidate will provide testing capability to the allocated project and help to ensure that products are delivered on time to a level of quality that is acceptable to clients.

  • Development of Testing-related project deliverables in a timely manner e.g. Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Status Reports and Test Summary Reports.

  • Provision of analysis, design, development, and execution of test cases for system, user acceptance and production verification testing.

  • Recording of test results and evidence of troubleshooting test failures and errors.

  • Raising defect records, participating in defect triage, retesting fixes, and identifying regression tests.

  • Development of Test Summary Reports.

  • Automation of Test Cases.

  • Work closely with the AGS Business Analyst during requirements elicitation.

  • Perform end-to-end testing across multiple systems.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Test Analyst.

  • High level leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to take a lead role across business and project stakeholders.

  • Excellent liaison skills in particular the ability to negotiate with people across business areas, functions and the organisation with a focus on achieving high quality outcomes.

  • Experience in developing Test Strategy / Test Plan documentation.

  • Experience in developing Test Cases for System Test, System Integration, User Acceptance Testing, Production Verification Testing, and Regression test suites.

  • Experience in managing and coordinating the UAT phase with business stakeholders.

  • Test automation using Smart Bear or similar automation products.

  • Experience in using Test automation tools such as Smart Bear or similar.

  • Experience using Atlassian products (Confluence and JIRA).

  • Highly skilled in the use of the usual office tools such as Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook (e-mail).

  • Strong experience in data validation and ensuring data accuracy across systems.

  • Experience in integration and end-to-end testing across multiple systems.

  • Ability to investigate and analyse issues across integrated systems.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Hold a current National Police Clearance (NPC), or be willing to obtain one, and complete a PF166.

  • Must be an Australian Citizen or have resided in Australia for the last five consecutive years to obtain the required PF166 clearance.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in the law enforcement or policing sector within government.

  • Experience working in education sector within government.

  • Previous experience in a government large-scale/multi-year program environment.

  • Possess relevant certification such as ISTQB.
